Cool Contributions fighting Climate Change (C4 II) is a project commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) under the International Climate Initiative (IKI) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The local executing partner is the National Ozone Unit (NOU), Ministry of Climate Resilience, the Environment and Renewable Energy.
C4 II supports partner countries, like Grenada, in the development of greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation strategies in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC). These strategies are to be integrated into the countries’ national climate goals in their nationally determined contributions (NDCs).
